Atlanta United came away with a point after their clash with FC Dallas.

Atlanta United were unable to come away with three points against FC Dallas, settling for a 2-2 draw at Toyota Stadium in MLS Matchday 30.

Atlanta supporters will consider the draw a win as crazy as the game was with Dallas, with the Five Stripes conceding inside five minutes before equaling later on in the first half.

Giorgos Giakoumakis scored his 13th goal of the campaign via a headed effort to bring the game to level terms from an exceptional cross from Thiago Almada, who registered his 14th assist this season, which is the most in MLS.

The equalizer was similar to Giakoumakis' headed goals against Seattle Sounders just a couple of weeks ago, with Almada supplying the same type of assist there and again against Dallas.

A piece of individual brilliance from summer signing Saba Lobjanidze put the visitors in front, as the Georgia international curled in an effort with his left foot from a difficult angle. But the lead didn't last long, as Atlanta conceded just four minutes after going in front in the second 45.

It was yet again another defensive error that led the conceded goal, as a simple ball over the top of Atlanta's backline saw goalkeeper Brad Guzan rush off his line before being chipped by Dallas' Bernard Kamungo.

The home side went in front from a headed effort from full-back Marco Farfan in the 76th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside in the buildup.

The Five Stripes and head coach Gonzalo Pineda might feel a bit lucky to come away with a point on the road as they head into their final six games of the regular season.

Atlanta, now in sixth place in the Eastern Conference table on 42 points from 28 games played, will return to action after the international break to play host to Inter Miami and Lionel Messi at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on September 16.
