Just when it looked like Yankees fans would finally get to see Aaron Judge back in action, the weather had other ideas.

Bad weather in Baltimore forced the start of the game between the Yankees and Orioles to be delayed.

So when will the game start? We're tracking the weather updates as they come.

Is the Yankees vs. Orioles game today canceled?

No! The game has been delayed because of weather but no official word on a postponement has been given.

Yankees vs. Orioles rain delay: New start time and weather updates for July 28

This post will be updated as official updates are provided.

At 6:44 p.m. ET, the Orioles announced the game would be delayed because of "inclement weather" with thunder storms in the area around Camden Yards. No updated start time was given.

The timing couldn't have been worse since Yankees fans were eager to see Judge finally return from the toe injury that has kept him out since the beginning of June. It's been a long time coming.

New York is coming off a split two-game series against the Mets and, bolstered by Judge, they'll be looking to show that they can contend in 2023 once healthy.

That's not to say Orioles fans would be any less eager to get things going on Friday night. They're enjoying the top spot in the AL East and no doubt looking to get back to winning rays against a division opponent after losing their most recent series to the Phillies.

Hopefully action will be able to begin soon for this intriguing matchup, but that's really up to the weather.
