Xavi has sent a message to Barcelona fans after their title-winning season.

Barcelona manager Xavi has thanked fans for their support after their famous title-winning campaign came to a close.

Plans are already being put in place to continue building over the summer. Despite missing out on re-signing Lionel Messi, Barcelona have plenty of ambitious transfer plans, including moves for Manchester City duo Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.

Signing off the season, Xavi penned a letter to supporters to highlight their role in the team's success and promise to keep the good times rolling.

"It is time to dedicate a few words to you," he began. "I want to thank you for the warmth and support you have given us throughout the season.

"Camp Nou always looked great and we felt very comfortable playing in the stadium. We felt your passion and love for the badge. Also, in the hardest moments, when you did not leave us alone. On the contract. You helped us get up and grow as a team. You have been, are and will continue to be a fundamental pillar of Barça. You are Barça.

"Now is the time to celebrate. This title is the culmination of the work and effort of many people for a long time. We all rowed in the same direction. We won La Liga because we were the best team in the competition. A big effort was made and now we have to value it and enjoy it. Let's celebrate this title as it deserves to be celebrated, but without stopping working. We are already thinking about the future, about continuing to build this exciting project because this is Barça and we always want more. Long live Barça and long live Catalunya."

In a separate interview with Jorge Valdano, Xavi vowed never to see Barcelona play Europa League football again.

"I already told the players that we can never play the Europa League again," he added. "I'm sorry, but Barcelona are not made to play the Europa League. It does not motivate the players nor the fanbase. We have to play the Champions League and we have to aspire to win it."
