A look at the details of the November international break including when it starts and ends, as well as when the Premier League returns.

Just as we had got ourselves reacquainted with the Premier League and Champions League after the October international break, it's time for another club football hiatus.

The November international break is closing in to mark the beginning of the hectic festive period, with players travelling across the globe to play even more football.

But when does the November international break begin and, more importantly, when does it end?

When does the November international break start and end?

The November international break kicks off on 13 November and will last for a little over a week, ending on 21 November.

However, bar the odd game, the majority of matches will commence no earlier than Wednesday 15 November.

International matches will finish on 21 November at the latest, but some South American matches will take place in the early hours of Wednesday 22 November (GMT).

When does the Premier League return?

The Premier League returns the weekend after the international break finishes, with Manchester City vs Liverpool kicking the weekend off on Saturday 25 November.

There are six other matches on the Saturday before two games on Sunday, with just the one match, Fulham vs Wolverhampton Wanderers, on the Monday.

What games are happening during the November international break?

During the November international break, European sides will be continuing their push for Euro 2024 qualification. Plenty of teams have already booked their ticket to Germany, but it will be the final chance for others to ensure they make it to next summer's tournament.

In South America, Asia and Africa, nations are competing for 2026 World Cup qualification, while CONCACAF sides will face one another in their version of the Nations League.

When do the home nations and Ireland play?

England will play twice over the upcoming international break, featuring in dead rubbers against Malta and North Macedonia in Euro 2024 qualifying. Gareth Southgate's side have already booked their seat on the plane to Germany, meaning the England boss may use this time to offer some opportunities to fringe players.

Scotland also ensured qualification for Euro 2024 during the last international break but will similarly play two qualifying matches. The Tartan Army face a trip to Georgia before returning home to host Norway.

Wales have two crucial Euro 2024 qualifiers coming up as they travel to Armenia and host Turkey. Rob Page's side will qualify for next summer's competition if they win their remaining Group D matches.

There is very little on the line for Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, both of whom won't be going to Euro 2024. Finland and Denmark are on the cards for Northern Ireland, while Stephen Kenny's side will face the Netherlands in qualifying before a clash with New Zealand in an international friendly.
