What is UKG on the Miami Heat jerseys?

UKG stands for "Ultimate Kronos Group," a tech company based in Massachusetts and Florida. They specialize human resources, payroll and workforce management solutions, including software the Heat themselves use to handle payroll.

If you don't recognize the initials, it's probably because it's still a relatively new name. In late 2020, Ultimate Software and Kronos Incorporated merged to form the new company, UKG.

So just a couple of months after the Heat fell to the Lakers in the NBA Finals, their future jersey sponsor emerged. And now they're back in it, hoping to leave this time with the trophy in hand.

It's like any other jersey sponsor NBA fans have become used to in recent years. The Nuggets feature Western Union on their jerseys while other teams display their own sponsors in the same spot.
