June went on to share a detailed video of the castle and wrote, "Any one can get me one of these for also for Christmas I love bling."

June has an impressive television career but she has also faced financial struggles throughout the year.

Mama June's early life

Mama June was born August 10, 1979, in McIntyre, Georgia, to parents Sandra and Melvin Shannon. June's parents were divorced when she was just 2 years old.

June also has an older sister Joanne, better known as Doe Doe, who occasionally makes television appearances alongside her. She suffered from cataracts in her childhood and the ignorance made her legally blind.

June dropped out of high school when she was just 15 years old to give birth to her first child, Anna Cardwell. The TLC show star earned her GED, but later said teenage pregnancy was very hard and 'just too much for me.'

June has three more daughters, Jessica Shannon, Lauryn Efird, and Alana Thompson. June remained in the news for years as she was arrested in 2008 for theft and contempt of court.

Mama June hits stardom with 'Toddlers & Tiaras'

Mama June rose to stardom after she starred in the TLC series 'Toddlers and Tiaras' back in 2011. June's youngest daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Shannon occasionally competed in beauty pageants for fun, and the show followed the mother-daughter duo through various events.

Shannon's family soon became fan favourites thanks to Alana's crazy quips and her love for 'go-go juice'.

After the breakout TV series, June starred in her family's own TLC spinoff show, 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo'.

The program aired on TLC for four seasons and 26 episodes until 2014 when the show was abruptly halted in the middle of the fifth season.

The completed episodes from season 5 of the show were later aired in April 2017.

In 2017, June landed her own reality show on We TV, titled 'Mama June: From Not to Hot'. The We TV show documented June's weight loss transformation after she underwent major weight loss surgery.

June reportedly lost over 300 pounds and went from 460 pounds to 160 pounds. Notably, June underwent around $75,000 worth of cosmetic surgery to further enhance her appearance.

Mama June's salary

Mama June earned approximately $25,000 a month from her WeTV contract of 'Mama June: Road to Redemption' and her various promotional deals. However, June's salary was expected to increase with the latest season of 'Mama June: Family Crisis'.

WE TV show's latest season was a huge success and entertained fans. Meanwhile, June has to give a part of her salary to her daughter Lauryn 'Pumpkin' Efird as a monthly child support for Honey Boo Boo.

Does Mama June have a job outside of reality TV?

Besides starring in 'Mama June: Family Crisis', June doesn't have a full-time job. However, she does have multiple sources of income. This has boosted Mama June's net worth.

June has a Cameo account, where she charges around $4,135 for a personalized video and $43,418 for making a business video for her clients.

Additionally, June promotes a lot of brands and new start-ups who often ask her to make videos which she usually posts on her social media.

The promotional videos and posts also added a tidy sum to June's bank account.

Mama June's financial struggles

June has had to penny-pinch in the past because of bad habits but she doesn't want to repeat her mistakes.

In March 2021, June revealed she spent $900,000 on drugs during the worst point in her addiction, according to DailyMail.

The reality star also 'went into rehab with $1.75 to [her] name' and 'came out with nothing.'

June and her then-boyfriend, Geno Doak, were arrested in March 2019 on suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance for crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Following the arrest, she took a plea deal and agreed to serve 100 hours of community service. Notably, June was spending up to $3,000 a day on drugs during her addiction.

Although June turned her life around and has made her sobriety a priority, she struggles financially. June later revealed that she has set a strict budget for herself after she spent nearly $1 million on drugs in one year.
