A Mets fan sitting behind home plate as New York blew a three-run lead to the Phillies hilariously threw up his hands and left his seat after the winning run scored.

How frustrating was it for Mets fans to watch their team choke in the eighth inning against the Phillies on Sunday?

We could try to describe it, but there's a better way because pictures really are worth a thousand words.

Just watch this Mets fan sitting behind home plate in Philadelphia sum it all up.

We've all been there. Our team is absolutely blowing it and there's nothing we can do. What's there left to do but throw up our hands and walk away in disgust?

There's just something hilarious about seeing someone reach the end of their rope with a sports team.

The Mets entered the eighth inning with a 6-3 lead. But Buck Showalter was stubborn and decided not to use his best relievers. He instead asked rookie Josh Walker to play set up man. He walked two batters and gave up a single to load the bases before being replaced by Jeff Brigham.

While Showalter claimed Adam Ottavino was unavailable, the reliever told reporters he was available to pitch. The manager also could have turned to closer David Robertson, but he wanted to save him for a ninth inning trip to the mound that never came.

That's because Brigham gave up the first run on a fielder's choice. Then, with Brett Baty's throwing error keeping the bases loaded, he walked in another run. After a strikeout, he hit Kyle Schwarber to tie the game at six apiece. A second-straight run-scoring HBP of Trae Turner is what sent that fan in the yellow shirt out of his seat.

The Phillies won 7-6. That fan didn't miss anything worth watching.
