Here is a breakdown of how the weapons stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

Our Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5 weapon tier list is here to break down which of the guns are the best to use in Caldera, Fortune's Keep, and Rebirth Island with the launch of Raven Software's latest major balancing update.

With the Season 5 patch, not only did we get the all-new EX1 assault rifle, RA 225 SMG and a handful of major changes to various options, but the meta Vanguard Variable Scopes were nerfed hard as well. As such, here is a breakdown of how the weapons stack up in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 5.

Warzone Season 5 Weapon Rankings

S Tier

These options in the S Tier all form Warzone's weapon meta moving forward. After the nerfs to the KG M40, STG44, Cooper Carbine and SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x optic, the Grau 5.56 has stolen the show early on. Right by its side as a main AR option, however, is the Automaton, which moves up the list by virtue of not being nerfed. For sniper support, look no further than the Volk, which should be a perfect option when paired with the newly buffed snipers. For now, the all-new EX1 laser rifle slots in here as well, so long as players are using the right barrel and aren't trying to beam others from extreme ranges. The RA 225 charts here as well, fitting right in as the newest Vanguard SMG with the full package. Ultimately, after being unquestionably at the top for some time, the Marco 5, Armaguerra 43 and H4 Blixen could see their stays in the S Tier cut moving forward now that each received some heavy nerfs to their damage multipliers and recoil. Perhaps the biggest winner to start Season 5 is the SVT-40, which was already a TTK monster but is just now made viable thanks to it using assault rifle Ammunition instead.

A Tier

In the A Tier are a wide variety of options that are top tier viable and remain generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Essentially, these options are right outside of the main meta but are still able to get the job done and allow you to be competitive. Out of the Vargo-S, BAR, and Groza, which all got buffed, the Vargo-S is the lone AR that has the potential to be noteworthy moving forward. In a similar vein, the UGR, Fennec and M1912 each received some slight buffs, but should continue to perform around the game for the most part.

B Tier

These weapons in the B Tier remain viable in Season 4 Reloaded, but could all use some buffs to make more players seriously consider mastering them. Overall, these weapons are just fine but don't have anything that makes them stand out as fun or exciting options to use. A lot of these are fairly popular still but aren't as statistically sound compared to the guns above. Out of sheer hope that their new buffs will make them viable at the very least, the P90 and the Striker 45 have been moved up for the first time in a long time.

C Tier

The C Tier includes guns that definitely could use a buff in Warzone. Taking a look at the list of options here, there just aren't any inspiring names worth grabbing in a custom loadout drop at the moment. The new Valois Revolver is placed here for now as it doesn't seem like something worth writing home about thus far.

D Tier

At this point in the tier list, these guns don't have a place in the meta at all. Although the higher end of this tier could perhaps be fine for players to still somehow get a kill or two, it gets pretty dreadful by the bottom of the list.
