The California Classic in the NBA's Summer League features the host team – the Sacramento Kings – taking on the Golden State Warriors in a late-night matchup on Monday.

These two teams met in the playoffs in the 2022-23 season, but the Kings may have a little more firepower on their Summer League squad with forward Keegan Murray opting to suit up with his teammates for at least a few of the games.

"I don't know the exact number right now, but just playing the game, stuff I worked on, things like that," Murray said about playing in Summer League. "I mean, [Kings coach Mike Brown] came to me earlier in the year and just kind of like, 'It'd be good for you' and I was on board with it.

"I feel like it was a culture shift we wanted to do in a way."

It's unclear how much or how many games Murray will play, but oddsmakers seem to expect him to suit up on Monday, setting the Kings as favorites in this one.

Golden State's roster is headlined by draft picks Brandin Podziemski and Trayce Jackson-Davis. Lester Quinones and Kendric Davis (both former Memphis stars) will also play for Golden State.

Let's dive into the odds and best bet for the fifth and final Summer League game on Monday:

Warriors vs. Kings prediction and pick

While Podziemski and Jackson-Davis will be fun to watch for Golden State this is a relatively unproven Warriors team in the Summer League.

Murray should be the best player on the floor, and he lit up the Summer League last season as a rookie. It's going to be scary having him out there ahead of his second NBA season.

Kings summer league head coach Luke Loucks called it a "great opportunity" to have Murray in the Summer League to lead this year's Kings squad.

The Warriors aren't exactly huge on development right now with their veteran team trying to contend, and they were cautious about how much they played Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga in the Summer League last summer.

With that in mind, I'll lean with the Kings tonight as long as Murray suits up.

Lean: Kings -6 (-110)
