Everything you need to know about Vampire Survivors bone evolution

In Vampire Survivors, the bone weapon's evolution has been on many fans' minds as its rarity in showing up in the level up shop has players not getting many opportunities to test the weapon out.

Evolution in Vampire Survivors is a late-game mechanic which can cement your build's ability to make it to the 30-minute mark and to complete the level you are playing. Evolution is an upgrade to a weapon that requires that weapon to be at level eight, the maximum level possible, and for the player to have purchased a corresponding passive item that allows the evolution to take place. Once you have leveled up your desired weapon to level eight, and you have to passive item pair to go with it, you must defeat one of the boss enemies that periodically spawn and drop chests, and once you collect that chest you will be given the evolution upgrade.

The bone weapon is the starting weapon for Mortaccio, and unfortunately one of the few weapons that do not have an evolution upgrade to unlock as of now. That does not mean it is useless, however. The bone works very well as a secondary weapon to your build and functions similarly to the runetracer, albeit lacking piercing damage.

It excels at higher levels as its scaling and potential pairing with passive upgrades to projectile speed, damage, and amount means that it can clear out enemies surrounding you during some of the chaotic late-game moments. It can be extremely hard to find in-game if you do not play as Mortaccio however, with some players on the bone's wiki page claiming to have never had it appear in their shops.
