Today's USMNT news includes Matt Turner's imminent transfer from Arsenal to Nottingham Forest. Malik Tillman's move to PSV is progressing and Haji Wright made his debut for Coventry City.

USMNT news: Matt Turner to Nottingham Forest

Matt Turner was on Arsenal's bench as they defeated Manchester City on penalties to win the Community Shield. However, this could be the first and last trophy that the USMNT goalkeeper lifts with the Gunners.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that "Matt Turner will join Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal." Mikel Arteta's side are closing in on the signing of David Raya from Brentford, so the American would have been pushed further down the pecking order at Arsenal.

Turner will likely face tough competition for a starting place at Forest. Steve Cooper's side are still looking to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United. Also, Eurosport has revealed that Kasper Schmeichel of Nice "may be on his way to Nottingham Forest, where concrete negotiations are allegedly underway right now."

USMNT news: Malik Tillman to PSV Eindhoven

Malik Tillman's transfer from Bayern Munich to PSV Eindhoven is progressing nicely. The player scored 10 goals for Rangers in the Scottish Premiership last season and it will be interesting to see how he gets on in the Eredivisie in the next campaign.

According to Florain Plettenberg, "Bayern and PSV Eindhoven, in final negotiations about Malik Tillman now. Last details have to be clarified. Details: It's a one-year-loan with an option to buy. Loan fee of around €1m. Option to buy of around €12-14m."

USMNT news: Haji Wright debut

Haji Wright made his debut for Coventry City against Leicester City and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet. The USMNT forward hit the crossbar in the 85th minute with the scoreline still at 1-1.

However, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall then got a late equaliser for the Foxes. It was not the best start for Wright in the Championship. Wright posted on social media after the game, "Disappointing result today but happy to have given my debut for this great club."
