Twitch streamers may soon be told exactly why they were banned.

Twitch says it's weighing a change to its terms of service that would see it attach clips of bad behavior to bans applied to streamers.

As it currently stands, Twitch's modus operandi for streamer suspensions and bans is to send that streamer a notification explaining which rule has been broken, but not providing details of when and how the streamer broke the rule in question. Some streamers have complained of not knowing what they did to break the rules, and others have used the lack of clarity from Twitch to feign ignorance about their bans.

But change may be on the way. Twitch's VP of trust and safety, Angela Hession, told the Washington Post clips of wrongdoing will likely be attached to ban notifications in the future.

"Safety is a journey, and this is a number-one ask from our community," she said. "So we're looking at how we can attach more details for people to understand — like the video itself. That's something we're definitely working on."

The exact form this change will take has yet to ironed out publicly.
