Apple announced the new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro today, and while the highlight is probably the USB-C port, we also get some new color options for those looking to make a statement with their smartphone.

Some people wants specs, other people want eye-catching colors. On the base iPhone 15 and 15 Plus you can choose from five hues: black, blue, green, yellow, and pink. In her hands-on time with the smartphones at Apple's event in Cupertino today, PCMag's Angela Moscaritolo got up close with the pink iPhone 15:

Apple says the iPhone 15 features "color embedded throughout a single piece of durable, color-infused glass." It used "metallic ions to build color into the foundation of the material itself, precisely controlling the saturation to create" these five colors.

This year's color lineup drops the purple iPhone (as well as the white and red), though all versions of the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus are still for sale on Apple's website. Preorder the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus in all colors starting Friday; they launch on Sept. 22.

In the Pro lineup, Apple drops the purple and gold iPhones for a new titanium finish.

The iPhone 15 Pro colors reflect the company's choice of materials: black titanium, white titanium, blue titanium, and natural titanium. The natural titanium is an off-gray color, and they look decidedly more metallic than the regular iPhone 15 colors.

The iPhone 14 Pro is no longer available on the Apple website, though you can grab it at third-party retailers like Best Buy while supplies last. The Pro lineup will also be available for preorder on Friday ahead of a Sept. 22 launch.
