The Memorial Tournament picks and best bets at Muirfield Village this week as we have an outright, Top 10 and more PGA Tour expert picks for golf.

One of the biggest stops on the PGA Tour is up next as we have a designated event on deck at Muirfield Village this week for the Memorial Tournament, hosted by the great Jack Nicklaus. This annually provides one of the best tests in golf and, with all of the top players on the PGA Tour ready to tee it up, we should be in store for a phenomenal tournament after an exciting week at the Charles Schwab Challenge.

We had a big breakthrough at Colonial after treading in deep water for some time by being all over Emiliano Grillo, hitting him for a Top 20 and as our longshot pick of the week, putting us up 7.8 units for the week at the Schwab. But now we need to carry that into our Memorial Tournament picks this week, which we should be able to do with a rich course history to pull from.

So who is going to thrive among the stars at Muirfield Village this week? Let's break down our Memorial Tournament picks with our PGA Tour expert picks for winner, Top 10 and One and Done before diving into the rest with our best bets for the week.

Golf betting record in 2023 through Charles Schwab: 29-85-2, -6.044 units (1-23 on outrights, 0.5 unit bets | +7.8 units at Charles Schwab)
One-and-Done record in 2023: $6,332,685.65 (Emiliano Grillo at Charles Schwab, $1,566,000)

PGA Tour expert picks for the Memorial Tournament: Winner, Top 10, One and Done

Top 10 Pick for the Memorial Tournament: Rickie Fowler (+350, DraftKings)

We were on Rickie Fowler to win outright last week and, though he came up short, he didn't do anything to deter from a phenomenal display of form we've seen in recent months with a T6 finish. Now he heads to the Memorial, a place where he's finished T14 or better in three of his last five starts, even with his erratic form in recent years. When you have that plus a guy who is still striking the ball extremely well and gaining strokes across the board, you have to like these odds for a Top 10 finish, even among the PGA Tour's heaviest hitters.

Pick to Win the Memorial Tournament (0.5 Units): Viktor Hovland (+2000)

Viktor Hovland showed quite a lot last week at Colonial as he came off of a grueling PGA Championship, fought off some opening-round struggles, and still finished T16 as he faded a bit on Sunday. Hovland hasn't played particularly well at Muirfield Village but it's a course that should suit him with the emphasis on long approach play in addition to long and accurate driving. The Norwegian appeears to be trending toward a win and I love him to get it against the best of the best this week.

One and Done Pick for the Memorial Tournament: Scottie Scheffler

This is obviously the biggest One and Done bullet left in the chamber for us after getting a little too squirrely but, with the designated event purse on the line, we're willing to burn Scottie Scheffler here. He was T3 at the Memorial Tournament the last time he played in 2021 and has been allergic to finishing outside of the Top 15 this season, including three straight Top 5 finishes coming into this week. Scheffler is playing like the best in the world, so you have to love getting him for OAD here.

The Memorial Tournament picks and best bets

Patrick Cantlay to finish Top 5 (+240, DraftKings)

If you want to talk about horses for courses, how can you not love Patrick Cantlay this week? He has four T4-or-better finishes in his last five starts at Muirfield Village and ranks third in total strokes gained over the last 20 rounds in this field. Moreover, he's doing most of that with his ball striking, which you need to see for this tournament. I never trust Cantlay to win, but I'm willing to take a nice number for Top 5 based on his form and history at the Memorial Tournament.

Si Woo Kim to finish Top 20 (+190, DraftKings)

Of the PGA Tour expert picks and these best bets, Si Woo Kim is easily the least-known name of the bunch. However, I love the pick for him in this spot to finish Top 20. He's trending nicely with his form, gaining 1.16 strokes tee-to-green over the last 20 rounds, and has a nice history at the Memorial Tournament with three straight Top 20 finishes. Getting these odds on him to stay hot is nice, even if it's always scary with his up-and-down performances we've grown accustomed to.

Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler to finish Top 20

How do you get both square and aggressive? This will do it. Schauffele, Rory and Scheffler are three of the five shortest odds to win this week, but we're taking them to all finish Top 20 in a parlay. This is all based on form and fit, all of which should fit the bill with how they've played at Muirfield Village and have showed up recently. It's always risky with a parlay, but you have to love the chances for these prodigious talents to make it happen.

Longshot pick to win the Memorial Tournament (0.1 Units): Byeong Hun An (+12000)

The last two times that Byeong Hun An played Memorial was in 2021 and 2020, which was when his form was declining to the point that he lost his PGA Tour card. But he's back in form, gaining 1.77 strokes tee-to-green over his last 20 rounds and, though not over that span, showing a bit more consistency with the putter. Given that he was T2 here in 2018 and Top 20 in 2019, An could be live at terrific odds to make some noise this week.
