The Connecticut Sun pulled out a close win on Tuesday night against the Indiana Fever, riding 22 points from Tiffany Hayes to move to 4-1 on the season.

Now, the Sun have a quick turnaround for a road matchup with the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday night.

The Lynx lost on Tuesday night to the Dallas Wings, the team's fifth straight loss to open the season. As a result, the Lynx are major underdogs at home in this matchup.

Can the Sun keep their hot start going? Here are the odds and my best bet for this standalone WNBA matchup:

Sun vs. Lynx odds, spread and total

Sun vs. Lynx prediction and pick

I simply can't bet on the Lynx right now after their start to the season.

Minnesota is 11th in the WNBA in net rating, 11th in defensive rating and eight in offensive rating through five games this season.

As a team, the Lynx are shooting 30.7 percent from beyond the arc (third worst in the WNBA). The team is also struggling taking care of the ball, ranking ninth in turnover percentage.

The Sun have been far from an offensive juggernaut, shooting just 38.2 percent from the field as a team (11th in the WNBA) but the team is elite defensively.

Connecticut is fifth in the league in defensive rating and loves to play at a slow pace (dead last in the league). The Sun are going to slow this down and make the Lynx earn their buckets, but I don't trust Minnesota's defense to return the favor.

I'll lay the points with the Sun on Thursday.

Game odds refresh periodically and are subject to change.
