NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Sebastian Stan spent four hours having dinner with 16-time WWE world champion Ric Flair at PJ Clarke's saloon in Manhattan on Sunday, May 21. This seemingly casual meeting has fuelled rumors that the 'Pam & Tommy' star will be staring in a biopic on the 74-year-old wrestling star.

Stan was seen hugging Flair and wished him luck for the Sports Emmy Awards, where the latter's Peacock documentary, 'Woooooo! Becoming Ric Flair', has been nominated for Best Long documentary.

Stan told Collider two years ago that he "would do that in a second if they let me" with Paul Walter Hauser playing the part of rival wrestler Ole Anderson. Hauser was Stan's 'I, Tonya' co-star. He said, "[Paul] is such a big wrestling fan. And I was a big wrestling fan too growing up. Like, I loved WWF and stuff. And we both have a kip-up."

Later, Flair posted a photo of his meeting with the actor with the caption, "Living large in NYC with the great @imsebastianstan and @the wonderouswendy! WOOOOO!" Hauser, who received a Golden Globe in January, commented with a quote by the wrestler. "To be the man, ya gotta meet the man," he wrote.

The former wrestler was joined by his daughter and 14 time WWE world champion Charlotte and her husband, Andrade El Idolo.

On September 26, 2022, Flair celebrated 50 years of being in professional wrestling. He said on his 'To Be The Man' that an unnamed production company was really "making a movie about my life" and talks had begun with nine-time Oscar nominee Bradley Cooper to play the lead. He said, "You know who else I like? Chris Pratt. That TV show Terminal List is unbelievable. Have you seen it? On Prime? Oh, you've gotta see Terminal List, it's phenomenal," per DailyMail.

Last week, it was reported that Stan will produce 'Blue Banks', Romanian filmmaker Andreea Cristina Bortun's 2024 directorial debut, according to Variety. According to Deadline, Stan will also produce and co-star in Paul Feig's unnamed espionage comedy about "a failed double agent who becomes an unlikely success" alongside Oscar-nominated actress Maria Bakalova.
