CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: Earlier this week, 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' revealed that 27 stars will compete in the second season of the trivia game show. With its premiere just a week away, a major announcement was made regarding the celebrities who will be joining the Alex Trebek stage.

As per a tease on the show's official Instagram account, one of the stars contesting for the champ title is 'Schitt's Creek' actress Emily Hampshire.

Major TV actors to open 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' Season 2

For the premiere of the celebrity format of the popular game show 'Jeopardy!', the show has invited Emily Hampshire alongside 'The Morning Show' actor Mark Duplass and 'Ghosts' star Utkarsh Ambudkar.

A sneak peek from the episode was shared on the official Instagram with a caption that read, "Big smiles all around because we're 1️⃣ week out from the season premiere of #CelebrityJeopardy!"

The contestants seemed to be having a fun moment along with host Ken Jennings, who will lead the show this time as opposed to Mayim Bialik.

Who are the other contestants to appear on 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' Season 2?

Apart from the above-mentioned contestants, 'Celebrity Jeopardy!' Season 2 will have 24 more contestants battling to win $1 million and donate it to a charity of their choice.

TV Insider reported that Katie Nolan from 'Speed Round', Steven Weber from 'Chicago Med', and Timothy Simons from the political comedy 'Veep', are also part of the race on 'Celebrity Jeopardy!'.

More stars like 'Law & Order' actor Christopher Meloni, 'Abbott Elementary's Lisa Ann Walter, talk show host Sherri Shepherd, Dule Hill from 'The West Wing', and Mira Sorvino are among others who were seen in the teaser for the upcoming season.

Some other celebrities are yet to be announced for the trivia game show set to premiere on Wednesday, September 27. It will be on ABC at 8 pm and can also be streamed on Hulu.

Unlike the previous season, this one is being solo-hosted by Ken Jennings, while Mayim Bialik has stepped back in support of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.
