Trying to hit Rank S in Resident Evil 4 Remake's Shooting Range? Here's how to get the best grade every time.

In Resident Evil 4 Remake, if you need a break from fighting Las Plagas-infected villagers and other horrors, then there's a perfect way to do so while honing your skills. The Shooting Range from the original makes a return in the remake, but it's been given quite the overhaul.

There are new challenges to complete that put your skills to the test across every weapon in the game. The Shooting Range becomes available after Chapter 3, and is offered by the Merchant to put Leon's aim to the test. In order to use the Shooting Range, players have to go to the specific areas where the Merchant has set up shop that feature a little elevator.

There are four areas in total, each one offering new courses upon discovery. Players can find the Shooting Range at the following locations:

Finding them isn't the challenge, though. Getting the highest possible score and walking out with an S-Rank and some tokens is the goal here. With that in mind, here's what you need in order to hit S Rank.

Resident Evil 4 Remake Shooting Range Rank S Requirements

To achieve S Rank in the Shooting Range, players need to rack up a high score. The amount needed is different for each course. For example, on the first course with the SG-09 R Handgun, achieving a score of roughly 10,000 points should be enough for S Rank.

But, to improve your chances of earning S Rank, players should take advantage of Bonus Conditions.

Unlocking Bonus Conditions allow players to earn more points during the Shooting Range course, in turn making it easier to hit S Rank. To reveal all Bonus Conditions for a stage, players simply need to complete it once.

How to Score S Rank in Resident Evil 4 Remake Shooting Range

Ultimately, getting a high score in Resident Evil 4 Remake's Shooting Range comes down to player skill. But, there are some handy tips you can take to heart to improve your chances.

Learn the timings of certain groups of targets — you'll need to give the course a few tries in order to work this out, but knowing when and where certain groups are going to appear will allow you to be prepared. It'll save you time, too, and help you earn that precious time bonus.

Move around — sticking to the center might not always be the best play. Some groups of targets are best hit from different angles.

Get investigative — Some Skull targets will be hidden behind barrels or on the back of other targets that spin around. Shoot some barrels if you're missing any, and be sure to keep your eyes peel for spinning targets. The Skull targets are worth it for the extra points.

Keep your low-accuracy guns steady — some weapons are tricky to handle at longer ranges, like the SMG. Given how precious reloads are, you'll want to make every bullet count. To improve your chances, keep your aim steady on one point without moving.

Getting an S Rank on all courses in Resident Evil 4 Remake will unlock the Trophy/Achievement "Real Deadeye."
