Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. said India’s central bank has approved the appointment of Ashok Vaswani as its next chief executive officer and managing director, succeeding interim CEO Dipak Gupta.

Vaswani’s appointment will be effective no later than Jan. 1, 2024 for three years.
