Psychic Spectacular Event has returned to Pokemon GO, bringing loads of new features and content for trainers. Starting at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, Sept. 6, players are able to complete the Psychic Spectacular timed research quest and the event-exclusive field research tasks for a variety of rewards and Pokémon encounters.

Psychic Spectacular Event for Pokemon GO: Tasks, Rewards, Dates
Timed Research Tasks: Focusing on Curveball Throws, this will be available until the event. Completing each one earns a separate encounter with Elgyem along with 30 Poké Balls and 10 Great Balls. The more times a player completes these tasks, the higher chance they will encounter a Shiny Elgyem.

Field Research Tasks and Rewards: Going hand-in-hand with the Timed Research Tasks, these are some of the ways to double up and earn additional rewards.
- For making 5 Curveball Throws, players will earn an Elgyem encounter
- For making 5 Curveball Throws in a row, players will earn a Chimecho encounter
- For spinning 5 PokéStops or Gyms, players will earn a Baltoy encounter
- For spinning 15 PokéStops or Gyms, players will earn a Hypno encounter
