Pokémon Day on Feb. 27 has a lot of Pokémon fans excited for what can be expected for the rest of the year, but information on what will happen in Pokémon GO has led most to resort to speculation.

Pokémon Day is less than two weeks away, and the hype for announcements to come for the upcoming year for Pokémon has a lot of fans, both of the main-series games and Pokémon GO alike living in anticipation of what news awaits them.

In the past, Pokémon GO fans have been able to tune into the Pokémon Company's Pokémon Presents livestreams in order to find out what information they can expect from the hit mobile game in the year following.

Speculation has been running rampant with talk of updates to not only content, but additional opportunities for players to immerse themselves further into the Pokémon GO world.

While there is no confirmation as to what players can expect in terms of Pokémon GO news for the upcoming year on Feb. 27, here is what we know so far:

Firstly, the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn is going global from Feb. 25 to Feb. 26, so players all over the world, not just those who had gone to Las Vegas with the available ticket, will be able to participate and catch Pokémon that originate from the Hoenn region.

Secondly, the only thing that Pokémon GO fans have any sense of confirmation on is the #PokémonTogether trend Pokémon GO is championing, so people should feel free to post pictures that show their love for the Pokémon franchise with the hashtag #PokémonTogether on any social media platform.

Otherwise, for 2023, Pokémon GO players should keep an eye out for Community Day events that will be happening each month, and they'll be able to find further information on those featured Pokémon as the information comes out on DBLTAP.
