Blizzard launched Overwatch 2 beta for the second time with the June 28 patch, where a dozen heroes experienced adjustments. Some heroes received buffs, and others had their abilities nerfed.

Mercy is one of the heroes that experienced a nerf, causing her to longer have control of her 'super jump,' provoking fans to share their dissatisfaction with the update on Reddit.

The June 28 patch includes Mercy's 'Guardian Angel' to no longer be canceled using crouch for a big vertical boost. Mercy is now automatically launched into the sky if players reach the end of its range. Prior to the patch, this jump was optional – players could remain on the field and get back to helping other teammates.

Overwatch developers have previously been reactive to the players comments regarding Roadhog and Winston during the previous meta. Players share their hope that Mercy's utility returns but in the meantime, players will have to play Mercy as is.

"Most of Mercy's GA techs are now gone in the beta. This includes prop jumps, wall glides, floor glides, and stair boosts. Slingshots are much harder to do. Overall a bad change to play and I hope they revert it to the same as live, super jump doesn't need to be automatic like this at the cost of the few nuances of her kit." a player commented on the Reddit thread.

Blizzard developer said in a recent beta feedback analysis post that when changes are made in Overwatch, they constantly evaluate whether they are adequate or need to be changed once again.
