Strap in, hockey fans. The NHL Draft starts tonight!

As always, I can't just sit and watch the NHL Draft, I like to place a few bets as well to make it a little bit more exciting. So, I have three of them for tonight that I'd love to share.

Don't worry, I won't recommend betting on Connor Bedard to go 1st overall. Let's see if we can find a little bit more value somewhere else.

Best bets for the NHL Draft

Eduard Sale UNDER 24.5 (+100)

Eduard Sale is one player whose draft stock has dropped over the past number of weeks after originally being projected as a top 15 pick. His over/under also slid from around 20.5 at most sportsbooks, to around 24.5 where he sits now.

Now, after the change, I think it's time to zig when everyone else is zagging. With the UNDER 24.5 available at plus-money, it's time to take a shot. Sure, his stock has dropped, but I think he's too talented of a player to fall outside of the top 24 and his over/under has got to a point where I'd consider it an overreaction.

Gabe Perreault OVER 11.5 (-132)

Gabe Perreault is an interesting case where a lot of people believe he will go in the low-teens, but he's beloved by the NHL nerds (which I mean with all due respect). He may not be the most physically impressive prospect, but he's arguably the smartest player that's set to be drafted tonight.

Still, I think this is a case of some NHL mock drafters performing a bit of a big brain move by putting him inside the top 11. Remember, we should be predicting how NHL GMs evaluate these players and put our personal opinions aside. At the end of the day, I think GMs still largely value physical skill over hockey sense and instincts, whether you agree with that or not.

I don't think he'll be around for long after the 11.5 mark, but I think there's value on taking the OVER at that number.

Michael Hrabal UNDER 32.5 (-135)

Most people agree that Michael Hrabal is the best goaltender in this year's draft, so this question is simply asking whether or not a goalie will be selected in the first round. I think he will be.

There are some teams later on in the first round that I could see selecting a goalie, including the Sharks, Blues, and Hurricanes.
