NFL Rumors: Will the Vikings trade Kirk Cousins at the deadline, is Derrick Henry the next Titans star to be traded, and do the Lions have a big trade in the works?

NFL Rumors: Lions HC Dan Campbell teases trade for Detroit

Though the Detroit Lions received an unfriendly wake-up call from the Baltimore Ravens in Week 7, Dan Campbell's team still looks the part of a contender in the NFC. However, with the NFL Trade Deadline approaching, you have to wonder if the Lions are planning to make any moves.

We might not have any concrete intel on that matter, but Campbell himself recently appeared to insinuate that some sort of trade could be cooking for the Lions.

Campbell was asked while speaking to the media if Detroit general manager Brad Holmes had "brought him any intriguing trade information". The head coach responded coyly after a long pause by saying, "Maybe."

Campbell has long played things pretty close to the vest when it comes to the workings of the organization, especially in this type of situation. However, his response is difficult to read in any other way than the Lions having some interesting trade intel and conversations that he doesn't want to divulge too much informtion about.

Many have called for the Lions to possibly upgrade on the edge of the defensive line opposite Aidan Hutchinson, in addition to potentially adding another receiving weapon. We'll have to see what exactly Holmes and Campbell have cooking.

NFL Rumors: Derrick Henry trade looking unlikely with stale market

With the Tennessee Titans having already moved on from former All-Pro safety Kevin Byard, the prevailing sentiment around Nashville has been that we might be heading toward a fire sale at the trade deadline. As such, many have speculated that veteran running back and pending free agent Derrick Henry could be another star who is on the move before the Oct. 31 deadline.

But maybe not.

Appearing on NFL Live, ESPN insider Jeff Darlington that a Henry trade might be unlikely for the Titans, but for a surprising reason: There isn't interest in the 29-year-old running back.

"Derrick Henry has not expressed his frustration by any means," Darlington said, via Bleacher Report. "Instead, he's still very impactful for the Titans, but there is some wonder whether they'd move Derrick Henry because he is in the final season of his contract. But right now they're not getting much interest, and I do not sense that this is going to be a trade that does happen. I feel like the Titans are still committed to Henry, and he too is happy to be there."

This isn't to say, however, that a trade is impossible.

Dianna Russini of The Athletic reported on Saturday that the Baltimore Ravens, a common landing spot for a Henry trade, are indeed looking to add a running back. There is also a number of other teams who could use the services of a proven veteran like the Titans star.

As of right now, though, Henry staying put appears to be the most likely conclusion to this situation -- but we all know how quickly things can transpire when it comes to the days leading up to the trade deadline.

NFL Rumors: Kirk Cousins trade would be a shock from Vikings

The calculus has certainly changed for the Minnesota Vikings over the past few weeks. After a 1-4 start and looking like one of the most targeted sellers in the league at the trade deadline, Kevin O'Connell's club has reeled off back-to-back wins, including knocking off the 49ers last week. As such, they might not be trading away big pieces on the roster as expected.

Then again, they might not be wholly convinced things will turn around and could still wind up as sellers.

So what does that mean for quarterback Kirk Cousins, who is in the final year of his contract with Minnesota and who moving on from might help jumpstart the future of the Vikings? Despite some early buzz, it doesn't seem like anything will happen with the veteran QB.

NFL insider Albert Breer of SI broke down what he's hearing ahead of Tuesday's deadline and made specific note of Cousins talking about the Vikings, saying, "I'd be stunned if they entertained moving Kirk Cousins at this point". Breer also noted that veteran safety Harrison Smith is also unlikely to be traded as well.

The familiar faces we've seen mentioned as Vikings trade chips like Danielle Hunter and Jordan Hicks listed by Breer as possible movers from Minnesota. Cousins, on the other hand, will almost surely be staying put -- and one has to wonder what position that will put the Vikings in coming into the offseason. That may well be determined by how the 10 remaining games on the schedule play out.
