The DeAndre Hopkins offseason saga gets yet another twist — the Chiefs are now favored to land him this offseason.

Arizona Cardinals wideout DeAndre Hopkins keeps dropping breadcrumbs on which team he wants to join this offseason, and lately, those crumbs may be pointing at the Kansas City Chiefs.

We've been here before.

Hopkins was widely speculated to be traded to the Chiefs earlier this offseason after Kansas City lost Mecole Hardman and JuJu Smith-Schuster. An injury-prone veteran like Hopkins could still make an explosive impact on the Chiefs roster, especially considering the fact that Patrick Mahomes would be throwing him deep balls all season long.

After Cardinals general manager shut down rumors of a potential trade during draft weekend, Hopkins took matters into his own hands and jumped on a podcast to re-open the Pandora's Box that is his NFL future.

On the "I AM ATHLETE" podcast, Hopkins named which quarterbacks he'd like to work with, listing pretty much every young and highly-touted franchise QB in the game right now: Josh Allen, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, etc.

Hopkins continues to be rumored to the Ravens and the Bills given those teams' wideout-needy rosters in 2023, but sportsbooks think otherwise.

DeAndre Hopkins' highest next-team odds are the Kansas City Chiefs

Following Hopkins' tell-all interview, Bookies.com oddsmaker Adam Thompson updated his odds for the wideout's most probable landing spots this offseason.

The Cardinals sit at the top with the best odds (+200) followed by the Chiefs (+300).

Curiously, the Ravens aren't even on the list. The rest of his hypothetical suitors are the Panthers, Bears, Lions, Patriots, and Bills.

Chiefs fans have to smiling to themselves having seen these odds, as Hopkins would no doubt boost Kansas City's already elite roster and could serve in a role similar to what Odell Beckham Jr. did for the Rams during the Rams' Super Bowl-winning run in 2021.

That all said — we've been here before. Hopkins has been rumored to join the Chiefs more times than we can count this offseason, and unless Brett Veach or another member of the Chiefs brass says something definite about it, there's no credible reason to believe the Cards wideout will actually sign with Kansas City.

An NFL star's obvious displeasure with his current situation can mean everything, or it can mean nothing.
