Last night, the Washington Nationals got 10 hits off Anthony DeSclafani to beat the San Francisco Giants 10-1.

With the win, Washington moved to 15-20 with a 6-3 stretch in its last nine games. The Nats are still last in the NL East, but only a game behind the defending NL champs. The Giants fell to 15-19 which is fourth in the West.

For Game 2 of this series, the Nats will send Patrick Corbin out to the mound with his 1-4 record and 5.17 ERA, but coming off his best start this season. The Giants will hand the ball to Logan Webb who will come in at 2-5 with a 3.80 ERA.

Let's get into the odds for the Giants and Nationals out at Oracle Park tonight.

Nationals vs. Giants prediction and pick

Over the last three seasons I'm not sure if there's a worse pitcher in all of baseball than Patrick Corbin. In each of the last two seasons he's made 31 starts with a 5.82 ERA and a 6.31 ERA. Now, this season Corbin checks in with a 5.17 ERA. To make matters worse he consistently goes out every five days to make another terrible start.

Corbin has been better this year and last time out he went seven innings and gave up two earned, but he is still fifth percentile in expected batting average and has an expected ERA of 5.82. The good news for Corbin is that the Giants are 26th in OPS against lefties with a .650 mark and only 10 home runs.

Last night the Nats got a 5-1 win over San Francisco after managing 10 hits and five earned off Anthony DeScalafani.

Logan Webb will put together a much stronger start than DeSclafani and the top of the Nats order, Lane Thomas and Luis Garcia won't combine for five hits again.

I like the under in this spot even after calling Patrick Corbin the worst pitcher in baseball.
