Micah Parsons' preseason practice aggressiveness is yet another reason for everyone and their brother to be bullish on the Dallas Cowboys' Super Bowl chances heading into this NFL season.

Parsons has been regularly reprimanded by the Cowboys' coaching staff for running into starting quarterback Dak Prescott's legs. Prescott may be wearing a red practice jersey, but Parsons is still seeing red. Yes, hurting Prescott would be beyond detrimental to Dallas' season, although Cooper Rush is an excellent backup option. However, you cannot coach up this kind of pure relentlessness.

In a weird, twisted way, don't you just kind of love Parsons' proclivity for getting up to the line and crossing it? This is exactly the type of aggressiveness the Cowboys have been lacking for decades.

As long as Dan Quinn's defense plays up to its standard, we may see America's Team in Las Vegas.

Micah Parsons' apparent aggressiveness can propel Dallas Cowboys over the top

The talent has always been there for the Cowboys, but the level of execution, particularly in the postseason, often has not. With the NFC still somewhat down, now is the time for the Cowboys to take advantage of it. Eventually, they are going to lose Quinn to his second NFL head-coaching job … if he does not end up replacing Mike McCarthy in a super awkward scenario of sorts for Dallas.

Look, I may not be entirely sure if Dallas can usurp the reigning NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles in-division, but I think they can hold off the New York Giants, as well as press the San Francisco 49ers for conference supremacy. Again, it is going to come down to big-time players like Parsons making big-time plays in critical situations. Practice makes perfect, and Parsons sure is practicing!

Overall, as long as Prescott stays healthy and plays up to his lofty contract, Dallas should field a very competitive team. Most teams do not have an answer for a dynamic player like Parsons. The guy has NFL Defensive Player of the Year potential inside of him. It is up to Quinn, McCarthy, and the rest of the Cowboys staff to put him in situations where he can tap into all of his great talent.

If you cannot appreciate Parsons' aggressiveness right now, then just wait until the games count.
