Matt Ryan made his triumphant return to Flowery Branch to see the Atlanta Falcons practice.

The greatest player in Atlanta Falcons history, former franchise quarterback Matt Ryan, has returned to Flowery Branch.

Now in his late 30s and firmly entrenched in fatherhood, Ryan is about to embark on what should be a very lucrative media career for him with CBS. He was outstanding on the studio set during last postseason, and will be calling games for the major television network. While he did last play for an AFC team in the Indianapolis Colts, Ryan will forever be remembered as an NFC champion.

Here is Ryan at Falcons training camp in Flowery Branch with his twin sons taking in all in as Dad.

Ryan maintains a close relationship with Falcons head coach Arthur Smith and offensive coordinator Dave Ragone. This is the type of synergy Dirty Bird Nation has been dying for.

While he did get dumped on nationally in the latter part of his career, Ryan will never get the credit he deserves for helping provide stability to this long, woebegone franchise. Atlanta never had back-to-back winning seasons prior to Ryan being drafted by the Dirty Birds out of Boston College in 2008. Ryan was a four-time Pro Bowler in Atlanta, winning MVP during the 2016 NFL season.

Although he will never be able to shake the Super Bowl 51 collapse vs. the New England Patriots, this man is every bit a Hall of Famer. In time, people will slowly begin to realize what all of us ATLiens know to be true. So to see him back in Flowery Branch with his sons is a sight for sore eyes. He only played for Smith for one season, but it is great to have Ryan back as an ambassador.

Overall, this is a great opportunity for Ryan to gather intel on the latest iteration of the franchise he has become synonymous with. Should Desmond Ridder play like he did at times for the Cincinnati Bearcats, we are looking at a Falcons team that is more than capable of winning a weak NFC South race, possibly even a home playoff game. Maybe Ryan will call a Falcons game or two?

All is right in the world to see Matty Ice and the Cubes back in Flowery Branch having a good time.
