Firaxis Games has very quietly canceled the Nintendo Switch release of Marvel's Midnight Suns, despite the game heading to last-gen consoles later this month.

After releasing back in December, 2022 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, Marvel's Midnight Suns is finally on its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Sadly, despite being previously announced to be arriving on Nintendo Switch, a port will no longer be arriving on the handheld console.

The decision was announced via a post on the game's official website which, when discussing the upcoming last-gen versions, read "a Nintendo Switch version of Marvel's Midnight Suns is no longer planned."

The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of Marvel's Midnight Suns took longer to launch than its current gen counterparts, requiring some extra time to develop. Given that both of these consoles are significantly more powerful than the Nintendo Switch, perhaps its no surprise that the Switch port is no longer on the table.

Digital versions of Marvel's Midnight Suns on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will launch alongside the game's fourth post-launch DLC, titled Marvel's Midnight Suns: Blood Storm.

The DLC will introduce X-Men legend Storm as a playable character, alongside new missions to complete.

All four DLC installments (The Good, the Bad, and the Undead; Redemption; The Hunger; and Blood Storm) will be available on launch day for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players who purchase the Legendary Edition of the game or the Marvel's Midnight Season Pass.
