The Marlins and Angels continue a weekend series out west after Miami scored a 6-2 win to start the three game set on Friday.

However, Miami will face a stiff test on Saturday night with Shohei Ohtani working double duty as a dangerous hitter and Cy Young caliber pitcher. The Marlins will counter with righty Edward Cabrera, who has been one of the most dangerous pitchers on the mound with a nasty punch out pitch.

With a ton of talent on the mound, can either offense keep up? We got you covered with our best bet for Saturday's matchup. Let's get started by checking out the odds:

Marlins vs. Angels odds, run line and total

Marlins vs. Angels prediction and pick

Ohtani has been as good of a bet to show up on the mound as anyone in baseball; he has allowed an American League low four hits per nine innings this season and is striking out an AL high 12 batters per nine.

However, this Marlins team comes in humming at the plate, hitting .298 as a team over the last 15 games which spans 13 games. The team is also producing runs at a league high level in that span, checking in 14th with 60.

With a low total of 7.5, we don't need much offense to clear this total, and while taking an over with Ohtani on the mound seems daunting, I believe the Marlins can ride the sweet swinging bats to a decent offensive performances.

On the other side, Cabrera is more than capable of striking out anybody, but he lacks control to avoid trouble on the base paths. He strikes out about two batters for every walk he dishes out and has only pitched more than five innings twice in 10 starts.

The Angels are top 10 in wRC+, meaning they are an elite team at getting on base and cashing in on run scoring chances (wRC+ quantifies the quality of run scoring chances produced), so Cabrera can pitch himself into trouble in this one. Not to mention, he's backed by a league average bullpen.

With all that being said, I'll lay off the side and eye the over as my favorite bet in the late game Saturday.
