'I know I'm mentally strong, and I get that from my mom,' Jeremy Renner said in an interview earlier

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jeremy Renner is glad that he survived the snowplow accident, which left him with 30 broken bones. However, the horror incident has also left him with a lot of guilt. ‘The Bourne Legacy’ actor apologized to his mother Valerie Cearley in an Instagram post, writing, "I’m sorry for the weight I’ve made you carry, yet so very grateful that you can with grace and strength. Thank you, love you, mama…. My rock.” Renner suffered a near-fatal accident on January 1 at his Reno, Nevada, home during New Year’s Day celebration with his close ones.

The actor made an incredible recovery, but he also felt sorry for letting his family down since they had to go through considerable trauma after the incident. He said in an interview, "It's pretty harrowing to really take the time to consider someone else's perspective." Renner started his Mothers' Day tribute by acknowledging his ‘mama’s contribution. "No matter how challenging, painful, or difficult life can be for me as of recent, it does not elude you,” he wrote. His family was always nearby while he made his recovery in the hospital. Renner frequently updated fans about his improving health via social media.

'I just wanted him to hear my voice'

In an earlier interview, Renner shared an amusing story about how his mother used to read to him. Apparently, she had an interesting choice of material. "So she's reading Stephen King — some, like, horror thing," he laughed. "But she just wants to read like she's reading Dr Seuss to me, like, ‘How now, brown cow?’" he shared. Valerie later explained, "It just happened to be what I was reading at the time, but I just wanted him to hear my voice." Asked about his incredible recovery, Renner credited his mother, saying, "I know I'm mentally strong, and I get that from my mom," reports Fox News.

'I hear you’re a little banged up'

‘The Hurt Locker’ star recently appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' and revealed that Paul Rudd was in town and visited him at the hospital on several occasions. The ‘Ant-Man’ actor shared a funny clip where he said, “Hey Jerry, I hear you’re a little banged up. Got in a fight with a snowblower apparently? Anyway, I just wanted to send this video. It’s really from the heart, and I hope you’re feeling better. Sounds like you are. Apparently, you’re a pretty tough guy.” He continued making light of the moment, "Maybe I’ll get to meet you one day, and wouldn’t that be something? In the meantime, take care and take it easy for a while. And next time, maybe just let the snow melt! Feel better, Jerry!”
