Leeds United are not looking to sell teenage starlet Archie Gray despite rising interest in his services from across Europe, sources have confirmed to 90min.

Gray is enjoying a fine breakout season at Elland Road, featuring heavily under new manager Daniel Farke in the Whites' first year back in the Championship. Though traditionally a central midfielder, he has played his last five matches as a right-back.

He was expected to have featured more prominently for Leeds last year but suffered an ankle injury during their pre-season tour of Australia, sidelining him for much of the campaign.

The 17-year-old has impressed talent-spotters from all over the continent and several major teams are monitoring his progress. 90min understands that Liverpool, Manchester City and Newcastle United are all keeping close tabs on Gray, while scouts from Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have watched him recently too.

Representatives from Borussia Dortmund have made trips over to England to cast a watchful eye over Gray this season already.

But ultimately, Leeds are not intending to sell Gray, who is unable to sign a professional contract until he turns 18 in March.

Gray comes from a long line of Leeds alumni. His father, Andy, came through the club's academy ranks and played 38 games for them across two spells at either end of his career, while granddad Frank and great uncle Eddie formed part of the successful Don Revie sides of the 1960s and 1970s.

While the three elder Grays represented Scotland at senior level, Archie was born in Durham and has represented England at four different age groups.
