Konami has announced that new Silent Hill updates will be revealed this Wednesday.

There have been plenty of leaks circulating this year around a new Silent Hill project. Earlier this year, images were leaked of what claimed to be a new Silent Hill, only for the images to be swiftly taken down due to a copyright claim. The images appeared to hint at a new game set in Britain thanks to certain British references to films and language. Just last month, screenshots of what claimed to be a remake of Silent Hill 2 also surfaced online, though the images were of poor quality. Some Silent Hill 2 iconography was still visible, such as protagonist James Sunderland's hair and jacket.

Neither of the leaks were confirmed by Konami. However, a new game was thought to be on the horizon after an unannounced project, Silent Hill: The Short Message, was rated by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea.

It isn't clear what this project could be, though some have speculated that it could be an upcoming teaser ahead of a full reveal, similar to that of Kojima's cancelled Silent Hills project and P.T.

But it seems all speculation could be put to rest. Konami has announced that updates for the Silent Hill series, will be revealed during the Transmission, a dedicated livestream, on Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 2:00 PM. PDT.

Konami has yet to confirm what updates will be revealed, but it will likely clarify the legitimacy of previous leaks.
