Manchester City have no intention of parting ways with Kevin De Bruyne anytime soon, with the Belgian playmaker also in no rush to leave the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City and Kevin De Bruyne have little desire to part ways anytime soon despite interest from the Saudi Pro League, 90min has been told.

De Bruyne has missed most of this season after suffering a hamstring injury on the opening day of the season against Burnley and he is not expected back until the turn of the year.

Despite the Belgian being sidelined with injury, he has been linked with a move away from the club after it emerged he was on the radar of the Saudi Pro League.

90min understands that the Pro League are interested in De Bruyne and they would be open to luring one of the Premier League top performers to the Middle East. Major League Soccer also remains an interesting option as De Bruyne enjoys life in America - having spent many holidays in the country -and many close to him believe that if he was to play abroad, it would more likely be with an MLS side.

However, De Bruyne is far from done with the Premier League. Still only 32, it is understood that the former Chelsea and Wolfsburg playmaker has seen the longevity of the likes of Luka Modric (38), Cristiano Ronaldo (38) and Lionel Messi (36), and believes he could follow suit by continuing to play at the highest level.

As it stands De Bruyne is contracted to City until 2025 and he has not ruled out an extension to his stay at the Etihad. And although talks have not yet accelerated, neither player or club are worried about the situation - sources have told 90min that both parties are fully committed to one another.

De Bruyne's current focus is attempting to return to action by Christmas, when Manchester City usually look to turn the screw and hit their stride amid a hectic run of fixtures.
