Jurgen Klopp reacts to ongoing Mohamed Salah transfer saga amid Al Ittihad interest.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has said he has "no doubt" about Mohamed Salah's future at the club amid strong interest from Saudi Pro League club Al Ittihad.

Salah has emerged as a top target for Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) that controls the league's four biggest clubs, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, Al Nassr and Al Ahli.

But Liverpool turned down a £150m offer from Al Ittihad last week and have remained adamant that Salah, who has a contract at Anfield until 2025, won't be sold.

With the transfer window for Saudi Pro League clubs still open until 7 September, 90min has already reported that Al Ittihad aren't ready to give up and would be prepared to break the transfer world record. That currently stands at £200m, which is what Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar in 2017.

Al Hilal offered £259m for Kylian Mbappe in July that was accepted by PSG but refused by the player, highlighting just how much money PIF is prepared to throw at the transfer market.

Even with a transfer saga hanging over him and eyes on his every move just in case he gave anything away that it could be his last Liverpool appearance, Salah scored and took his goals and/or assists streak to ten consecutive Premier League games during Sunday's 3-0 demolition of Aston Villa.

"He played a top game. Mo had to work super hard and he did," Klopp told Sky Sports afterwards. "I've never had, and I don't have now, doubts about his future, his commitment to this club.

"Believe me, you can't imagine how much fuss the whole world makes and how calm we are with it. He's our player, he wants to play here and that's it."

Klopp also went on to add in his post-match press conference: "Nobody came to me and told me something could happen [regarding a transfer]. I'm pretty sure I would have got a call but I didn't. And Mo didn't look for a second like he thought about anything else other than about Aston Villa."

Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai also confidently asserted that Salah's intention is to stay with the club rather than move to Saudi Arabia.

"He wants to be here, he wants to stay with us. At the end, he stayed and that's great news. He's a top player," the Hungarian star commented.
