The Junker Queen's long-awaited arrival in Overwatch 2 is nearly upon us, and Blizzard revealed the hero's abilities during a special broadcast Thursday that also saw the debut of the Wastelander animated short.
The Junker Queen is a tank hero who wields a hitscan shotgun as her primary weapon, but she leans into her gladiatorial flavor with a massive ax she can whip out for melee attacks. Here are her abilities as described on the broadcast:
- Passive: Regain HP over time based on number of wounded enemies
- Commanding Shout â Boosts speed and armor of nearby allies
- Jagged Blade â Quick melee that deals extra damage that creates a wound; Secondary fire throws the knife, which Junker Queen can recall it to pull hit enemies forward
- Ultimate: Rampage â Creates a whirlwind of magnetized metal around Junker Queen before she dashes forward, damaging and wounding enemies. Wounded enemies reduce their healing to zero.

The Junker Queen will be Overwatch's 34th playable hero. Blizzard first teased her existence when it released the Junkertown map in 2017, when her voice played over the speakers and her likeness appeared in posters plastered around the map. Players will get their first opportunity to test out her kit in the second Overwatch 2 beta, scheduled to open June 28. The full game arrives Oct. 4.
