Joe Burrow is all class, which is why he didn't have much to say when asked about the brewing rivalry between his Cincinnati Bengals and the Chiefs.

The Bengals and Chiefs are the class of the AFC, with the Buffalo Bills not far behind. It's a new era for the conference, which for so long was dominated by Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.

Burrow's Bengals did plenty of talking, namely Eli Apple, when referring to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as Burrowhead prior to Cincinnati's AFC Championship Game defeat this past season. Entering the 2023 campaign, Burrow's team is among the favorites to win the conference yet again, but it's the Super Bowl champion Chiefs they must go through before they get there.

This offseason, there's been plenty of chatter between the two sides, namely Ja'Marr Chase and Travis Kelce who have defended their respective quarterbacks. It's a compliment of both Mahomes and Burrow that their favorite targets would go to war for them. For what it's worth, Burrow would rather let his play do the talking.

"The best thing about that is it's all settled on the field," Burrow said, per Heavy. "So we'll see them in December."

Bengals: Is Joe Burrow right in pushing Chiefs chatter down the road?

Burrow isn't much of a trash talker, at least not until he can back it up. He understands that defeating KC this season is his top priority, and to do so he first must lead the Bengals to another AFC North title and beyond.

For now, Kansas City is on top. Despite offseason comments from Chase, who prompted discussion over who, exactly, is the top dog in the AFC. Kelce didn't take kindly to his take.

"It is what it is, dog," Kelce said, h/t Pro Football Talk. "Who doesn't love some good locker room banter, man? Shoutout to Ja'Marr Chase for holding it down for his QB, but don't you ever disrespect Pat Mahomes now. If you want to talk your s***, talk your s***, pimp. Just better back it up."

That debate will more than likely be decided in the months to come.
