Novak Djokovic's quest for a calendar grand slam continues in the semifinals of Wimbledon against upstart Jannik Sinner.

Djokovic hasn't lost at Wimbledon since 2017, winning 33 straight matches, including a five set meeting against Sinner in which he had to rally from down two sets to win. Sinner has cruised through an easy set of opponents this grand slam, will he be fresh enough to take down the all-time grand slam winner in Djokovic?

Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic prediction and pick

Sinner has not faced an opponent inside the top 75 in the world, which isn't his fault that he has faced an easy path, but it could keep him from finding his peak form with a quick jump to the most successful player in men's tennis.

Djokovic has faced several different types of players, including a big bomber in Hubert Hurkacz and a talented ground stroke specialist in Andrey Rublev and has passed all tests in flying colors. While the Serbian has had more court time this fortnight, his ability to return serves and extend rallies on the slick grass court is going to overpower Sinner.

We saw Sinner run out of gas in the five set thriller against Djokovic last year, and I envision he will not have the fitness to hold up against the Serbian once again in the semifinals. I believe that the easy path is going to have an adverse consequence with the rise in opponent's class.

Djokovic's physical brand of tennis and ability to win the crucial points will be the difference here. I envision the Serbian takes this in straights as he gets out to a hot start and never looks back. While his serve has been shaky, going under on the amount of games gives enough cushion for one set with a break.
