Hogwarts Legacy launches on Feb. 10, but how many spells will players be able to use on release?
We're just over a week away from the launch of Hogwarts Legacy on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. In the run up to release day, Warner Bros. Games has been sharing snippets of gameplay and information of what's to come.
Prospective players have been introduced to some of the creatures they'll encounter in-game, the iconic locations, and the voice talent responsible for bringing the characters to life. But as a game set in the Wizarding World, there are some crucial questions being raised: how many spells will be available to play with?
How Many Spells Does Hogwarts Legacy Have? Full List
Thanks to some early previews, there has been a total of 26 spells confirmed for Hogwarts Legacy so far. The featured spells cover a wide-range of uses, such as ones to repair broken objects and others to freeze things in place. Most of the available spells will be easily recognized by any Harry Potter fan.
So far, the following spells have been confirmed:
- Accio – brings an object to the user.
- Avada Kedavra – kills its target.
- Confringo – causes its target to explode.
- Crucio – causes pain to its target.
- Depulso – repels the target away from the caster.
- Diffindo – cuts an object.
- Disillusionment Charm – turns the user invisible.
- Descendo – lowers objects into the ground.
- Expelliarmus – disarms enemies.
- Flipendo – knocks back objects.
- Glacius – freezes targets.
- Imperio – causes enemies to fight alongside you.
- Incendio – produces flames.
- Levioso – levitates objects.
- Lumos – emits light.
- Oppugno – directs an object or individual to attack a target.
- Petrificus Totalus – petrifies the opponent.
- Protego – protects the user with a shield, and also reflects spells.
- Reducto – used to blast solid objects to pieces.
- Reparo – used to fix broken objects.
- Revelio – used to reveal invisible items and hidden messages.
- Stupefy – used to stun opponents.
Hogwarts Legacy launches on Feb. 10 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The game launches on April 4 for PS4 and Xbox One, then July 25 for Nintendo Switch.
