In today's capitalist society we are so ground down and exhausted by work that we can do nothing in our scant few hours of personal time but sit on the couch and stare vacantly ahead. Now Max has announced 220 4K launch titles for you to gaze emptily at until your untouched coffee turns cold.

HBO Max and Discovery+ are merging into the single service Max on May 23, effectively throwing out years of Warner Bros.' branding efforts while simultaneously making their product much harder to google. Max had already announced several titles that will be available at launch, including Season 1 of Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai and What Am I Eating? With Zooey Deschanel.

However, it has now released a list of 220 launch titles that will be available in 4K on Max’s Ultimate Ad-Free tier. This subscription tier will set users back $19.99 per month, or $199.99 per year, and offer an extensive list of titles to help you disassociate in 4K, such as Game of Thrones, The Last of Us, the Harry Potter series, The Lord of the Rings trilogy (both theatrical and extended editions), The Dark Knight trilogy, the Matrix films, as well as And Just Like That... The Documentary.

Going forward, all Warner Bros. movies released in cinemas will also arrive in 4K on Max after their theatrical runs.
