We’re learning a little bit more about Google’s upcoming Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro.

The phones are expected to be announced on Oct. 4; however, a leaked video this week reported by 91Mobiles offers a breakdown of what to expect from the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro’s cameras, including several new AI features.

The Pixel 8 Pro is reportedly adding an autofocus feature to its 10.5-megapixel selfie camera, and both the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will have 50-megapixel sensors at f/1.68, a 1/1.31-inch sensor, and 1.2 μm pixel width. The Pixel 8 will also have a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and the Pixel 8 Pro is getting a 48-megapixel ultra-wide lens as well as an additional 48-megapixel telephoto lens with a 5x zoom.

The real fun updates are on the AI front. A new “Video Boost” feature will bring a “smoother view” to videos recorded using the devices and some improved low-light filming.

The leaked video also showcases the previously reported “Audio Eraser” functionality, as well as a new feature that appears to allow you to change the faces of people in your images. For instance, if everyone in your group shot looks great except for one friend who sneezed when the shutter button went off, you can replace the sneezing friend’s face with a better shot of them.

The video also seemingly shows off some new full manual controls for the camera. Called “Pro Controls” they’re reportedly modeled after DSLR controls and will give photo enthusiasts a bit more control over their shots.

And finally, the video tips Magic Editor. Google showed that feature off at Google I/O this year, but essentially it will allow you to move a subject around in a shot or adjust the background to make a picture look the best it can be.
