Coronel, 34, had admitted helping Guzmán run the Sinaloa drugs cartel and aiding his prison escape.

Emma Coronel, the wife of jailed Mexican drug lord Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán, has been released from jail in the US.

Coronel plead guilty to drug trafficking charges and was sentenced to three years in prison in November 2021, but has been freed early.
