Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has been asked about the notoriety assistant coach Jason Tindall has been getting on social media.

Eddie Howe has admitted he finds the Jason Tindall 'centre of attention' memes hilarious after a Twitter account about the assistant coach went viral.

The Twitter account 'Jason Tindall desperate to be centre of attention' has taken the social media platform by storm this week, with the posts showing Tindall in various attention-grabbing situations including shaking opposition manager's hands and posing for touchline photos.

With posts from the account reaching over 12m impressions in some cases, word of the account has gotten to manager Eddie Howe and his staff in recent days and, as expected, they found it rather amusing.

"It's a funny one. I've spent the last half an hour laughing with him about certain things, and certain things he's been sent," Howe said.

"It's crazy how the internet and social media can create these things."

Howe also went on to discuss the vital role Tindall has played in his career thus far. The assistant coach has been working with Howe for around 15 years, and been key to the recent successes Newcastle have enjoyed.

"I said in a recent interview in America that to understand Jason's role, you have to go back to where we started. You have to do that, otherwise you'll think you're missing a little bit of context as to the reason he's in those situations. We started with no money, with no real facilities, working with a group of players, just the two of us. We did everything together. So you name it, we did," he added.

"We were a partnership. We travelled to watch the opposition. Five hours away in a car. We've never changed that approach throughout our journey together."
