Demarai Gray has hit out at Everton as talks over a move to Al Ettifaq continue.

Everton winger Demarai Gray is keen to end his time working under manager Sean Dyche, 90min understands, with a transfer to the Saudi Pro League still a possibility.

Gray has not played under Dyche this season and was the subject of interest from Al Shabab earlier this window, with Everton rejecting an approach as they were unimpressed with the payment schedule on offer.

After the European transfer window closed, Gray took to social media to criticise Everton's treatment of him.

"Everton fans have always been great with me but it's so difficult to play for someone who don't show you respect as a person," he wrote on Instagram.

While a move to Europe is now off the cards, a switch to Saudi Arabia remains a possibility after it was confirmed that the Saudi transfer window does not close until Thursday 7 September.

Al Ettifaq are understood to be working towards a deal to sign Gray, who has managed 19 goals and 16 assists in exactly 200 Premier League outings.

A move to Al Ettifaq would give Gray the chance to link up with manager Steven Gerrard and the team's four big summer signings: Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum, Moussa Dembele and Jack Hendry.
