Joy-Anna Duggar claimed that her daughter dances like her as the 3-year-old showed off her moves mid-shopping

ELKINS, ARKANSAS: 'Counting On' alum and Duggar family daughter Joy-Anna Duggar, now Joy-Anna Forsyth, recently posted a video on Instagram as her daughter danced to a song, stating, "We were out shopping today and I look to find my daughter doing what I think looks like the chicken dance. It’s only really cute when you are young."

In the video, Joy's daughter is seen grooving to the beat of the song inside the store. She further identified it as an "embarrassing fact" that her daughter supposedly takes after her in the way she dances.

This goes on to illustrate a wide gulf between the kinds of practices within the conservative Duggar family around which Joy herself grew up and the kind of parenting she is implementing with her own daughter.

After distancing herself from the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP|) faith traditionally followed by the Duggar family, Joy is keen to bring about changes in the form of domestic rules that exist within her household.

How many children does 'Counting On' alum Joy-Anna Duggar have?

Joy is presently a mother of three and has two sons and one daughter with her husband Austin Forsyth. Her eldest son is named Gideon Martyn, 5, and her three-year-old daughter is called Evelyn Mae. Gunner James is the name of her third and youngest child born earlier this year.

'Counting On' alum Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband Austin Forsyth claim never being part of IBLP

In the wake of the release of Jill Duggar's controversial memoir 'Counting the Cost', Joy and her husband made claims that they were never a part of the religious organization that the Duggar family traditionally follows.

In a Q and A session from a vlog posted on their YouTube channel FollowTheForsyths, Joy-Anna and Austin disclosed whether or not they subscribed to IBLP's teachings in an answer to a frequently asked fan question.

As someone asked if they are "still a part of IBLP," Austin clarified, “No, we never were, you and I as a couple, like once we got together.”

He continued, “Once we got married, we started distancing ourselves from those functions. We’d always talk about when we were dating that we weren’t gonna use their literature and stuff like that… Just kinda distanced ourselves." He added that he and his wife follow "Jesus alone" and go to a Baptist Church.

What is IBLP?

The Institute of Basic Life Principles (IBLP) is a conservative Christian organization that is followed by the Independent Fundamentalist Baptist family of Duggars. It was established by Bill Gothard in 1961 and advocates a moral way of living. The organization was founded as a conservative Christian reaction to the turbulent 1950s and 60s when the civil rights movement was raging and free love was being advocated.
