Daniel Snyder is gone, and fans of the Washington Commanders have taken to the Twitter streets to pop champagne, hug each other, and express relief.

He's gone! That's the unanimous feeling of fans of the Washington Commanders, thanks to the news they always wanted to hear about owner Daniel Snyder.

Following the announcement that NFL owners have approved the sale of the franchise from Snyder and his wife Tanya to a group led by Philadelphia 76ers owner Josh Harris, Twitter turned burgundy and gold with fans from all over the NFL, even former players and rival fans of Washington, joining the festivities.

Additionally, due to the investigation within the organization, Snyder will be paying $60 million in restitution to the league.

Washington Commanders fans are relieved that Daniel Snyder is finally leaving the organization after years of pain and suffering.

What can you say about Snyder's tenure in Washinton? Free agency signings that busted into high heavens, such as Albert Haynesworth? Poor drafting despite surprisingly winning a division title the year they drafted Robert Griffin III? It was a total disaster.

Twenty-four seasons as owner. Six playoff appearances, two playoff wins, no NFC Championship Game appearances, ten different head coaches, 27 different starting quarterbacks, and a .427 winning percentage, which ranked well in the bottom half of the NFL. In other words, the nation's capital was the sight of football disappointment.

As bad as other franchises have suffered, almost all will agree that Snyder was the worst owner in the NFL, hence the unanimous decision to approve the sale. Josh Harris is well-liked by the rest of the owners and will be well-received.

Celebrate DC! The pain is gone! Hopefully, for your sake, this produces a winning football team and possibly a new stadium, considering the issues that currently permeate FedEx Field. For now, a new boss looms over DC, and he is by far much better than his predecessor. As for Dan Snyder, don't let the door kick you in the rear end on your way out.
