In today's Chiefs rumors, Patrick Mahomes gives Zach Wilson an inspiring message, the team unveils a new WR1, and the celebs walk the red carpet to MetLife.

Chiefs Rumors: Here's what Patrick Mahomes told Zach Wilson after Jets loss

The much-maligned quarterback out of BYU is getting a much-needed PR boost after Week 4. Jets' Zach Wilson played his heart out in his team's 23-20 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday night, and after the game, the one and only Patrick Mahomes gave him his flowers.

Wilson went 28-of-39 for 245 yards and a touchdown in one of the greatest performances of his derailed career. Yes, that's not saying much, but his surprisingly smart quarterback play caught the eye of Mahomes, who embraced Wilson following the final whistle and offered him some consoling words.

Mahomes told Wilson, "Play like that all year." It appears as though the two-time Super Bowl champ is rooting for Wilson to succeed this season.

Wilson played a cleaner game than Mahomes as a whole and executed crucial passing plays to extend drives all game long. His fourth-quarter fumble at midfield would be the last time the Jets touch the ball on offense, yet that blunder alone didn't determine the game. The officiating crew arguably shoulders as much blame as Wilson does for their questionable calls against the Jets.

Mahomes continued to compliment Wilson in a post-game interview and said, "He played his tail off, he battled. We have a good defense, and he made a lot of big-time throws into the windows and down the field. I've watched him since his BYU days, so I was proud of him to go out there and show out. Luckily, we got the win in the end."

Maybe the future for Zach Wilson is brighter than it appears.

Chiefs Rumors: Rashee Rice emerges as WR1 through four weeks

Add Rashee Rice to Patrick Mahomes' "favorites" club, which so far only includes Travis Kelce.

The second-round rookie recorded three catches on five targets for 32 yards on Sunday night, which is hardly an impressive stat line. What is impressive, however, is his clear chemistry with Mahomes. Rice's targets trailed only Kelce, and that isn't an anomaly.

Through four weeks of the season, Rice is the Chiefs' second-most targeted receiver with 19 total. Kelce has the most with 26; behind Rice, Skyy Moore has 15 and Justin Watson has 13.

According to Arrowhead Addict's Adam Best, Rice also leads Chiefs wideouts with 2.5 yards per route run and has the highest PFF grade in the unit (79.0).

After all that offseason talk about Kadarius Toney developing into Mahomes' top weapon, it's the underdog Rice who has proved he's the most consistent and effective wide receiver out there.

As long as Rice continues to gel with Mahomes, he could see many more deep passes and end zone targets headed his way.

Chiefs Rumors: All the A-listers in attendance for Sunday night's game

It's official: the NFL community has Taylor Swift fatigue. It's a weary affliction that comes from seeing the pop star one too many times on a football broadcast, and there's no cure in sight.

To shift attention away from the NFL's hottest "it" couple right now, the stars came out to watch Patrick Mahomes and Zach Wilson battle it out at MetLife. We personally find it hilarious that a handful of the nation's most famous celebrities came all the way out to New Jersey, the buttcrack of the East Coast, to watch, out of all quarterbacks, Zach frigging Wilson, but that's just the power that Taylor Swift wields. And Mahomes, we suppose.

Here are all the A-listers who attended the Chiefs' win on Sunday.

Aaron Rodgers

He swooped in like Batman, and one can only assume that after the game, Rodgers spread his cape and glided back down to the darkness of his cave to rehab his Achilles. It's incredible that the Jets quarterback is a New Jersey hero without even completing a pass for his team. The Dark Knight will rise again.

Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, and of course, Taylor Swift

In the picture below you have Wolverine, a fourth-tier Welsh soccer club owner, Serena Van Der Woodsen, and the unavoidable Taylor Swift. The Chiefs-Swiftie crossover is happening in 2023 and no one can stop it. The NFL even centered an entire Sunday Night Football promo on Taylor Swift, and who knows how many Swift-related puns the announcers dropped during the game.

Welcome to New York -- er, New Jersey -- indeed.

Jeremy Strong

Kendall Roy arrived at MetLife Stadium presumably after dropping down from his helicopter. The eldest boy had to watch two other eldest boys (Mahomes and Wilson) do eldest boy things.

Paul Rudd

Probably more likable than Travis Kelce, tbh.

Sophie Turner and Taylor Swift (again)

Remember how we said Taylor Swift was unavoidable? Here she is with the Queen of the North.

Antoni Porowski and Taylor Swift (last time, we promise)

A beloved member of the Fab 5 also made an appearance at the Chiefs-Jets game with his friend, Tay--- yeah, we're not even going to say it.
