Bronny James, son of LeBron James, is reportedly in stable condition in the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest while practicing on Monday.

Scary news broke in Los Angeles this morning as TMZ Sports reported Bronny James, son of LeBron James, was taken to the hospital Monday with a cardiac arrest after collapsing on the court. According to a statement released by the family:

"Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information."

Per the TMZ report, Bronny was practicing at USC's Galen Center and Bronny was unconscious when he was taken by ambulance to the hospital. There is no word yet what caused the cardiac arrest or whether any pre-existing or underlying chronic condition may have contributed to the event.

Bronny James is preparing for his freshman year at USC

Bronny announced in May that he would be heading to USC, joining other top recruits Isaiah Collier and Arrinten Page. James, a 6-foot-4 guard with versatile offensive skills and a sterling defensive reputation, averaged 13.8 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.8 steals per game during his senior season in high school. He is widely considered to be a first-round prospect for the 2024 NBA Draft and was ranked as the No. 8 prospect in our first FanSided mock draft.

The entire basketball world is sending their thoughts and prayers to Bronny, LeBron and the entire James family right now, hoping for a speedy recovery and no lasting health concerns.
