MLB Wednesdays are always great because of the mid-week afternoon games. Nothing like watching some baseball during the work day when the weekend still isn't really in sight. If you are sitting at work, you may not be able to watch every pitch, but six outs can get you through your lunch break and cashing a No Run First Inning or Yes Run First Inning bet could pay for your Chipotle bowl.

So, I've picked out my best NRFI and YRFI picks for today that can get us started for a full-day of baseball and maybe get you through the workday.

Best NRFI bet today

The Reds have been red hot and a lot of that has to do with their pitching. Andrew Abbott has yet to allow a run in his major league career which spans three starts. Now, that dominance won't continue for long, but I think it will carry over into this start against the Rockies. Colorado has been awful against lefties this year, 29th in OPS and home runs, so they'll have a tough time in Cincinnati today. Hopefully Connor Seabold can keep the Reds off the scoreboard in the first because he has struggled.

Best YRFI bet today

The Atlanta Braves are practically a YRFI ATM this season, or the closest thing you could ever get to that. They are scoring 0.90 first inning runs per game which is clearly the best in baseball and on top of that have a YRFI rate of 42.47%, also league best. Today they are in a great matchup to start with a score against Aaron Nola. Nola has pretty much crumbled this season because of the pitch clock and has a 4.66 ERA on the season. It's even worse in the first inning where his ERA is 5.40.
