We have a pretty loaded slate in the MLB today, and you can add on top of that the College World Series and the 2023 NBA Draft for an exciting sports day, especially for June.

Maybe your attention is going to get pulled away from the MLB to get a look at all seven feet and five inches of Victor Wembanyama or Wake Forest vs. LSU, but first let's make sure to cash in on the MLB.

There are some great No Run First Inning and Yes Run First Inning opportunities today so you can stay tuned in for six out and head off to the exciting world of college baseball and the draft.

Or you can stick with the MLB all night and just add a couple of additional bets to your ticket. Either way let's get into the picks.

Best NRFI bets today

This week, the Pirates have continued their active nine-game losing streak, a span of games over which they've managed just 20 runs. It's been even worse than that lately with an over 20 inning scoreless streak and five runs in their last five games.

The Pirates offense is a disaster right now and they could be without Andrew McCutchen and Bryan Reynolds who are both day-to-day. For the year, Pittsburgh is 21st in first inning runs per game.

The Pirates are actually more productive in the first than their opponent tonight. The Marlins may have the best leadoff hitter in baseball, but they only score 0.28 first inning runs per game which is dead last in the MLB.

Facing Mitch Keller today, this feels like an easy NRFI.

Best YRFI bets today

JP Sears has actually been a solid piece for the A's pitching staff and they haven't had many. However, I'm fading him in this spot because he is one of the worst first inning pitchers in all of baseball.

His 7.71 first inning ERA is fifth worst in the MLB and makes this YRFI a very enticing bet even though neither offense is particularly frightening.

The Guardians will put Logan Allen on the mound and while I think he'll be much better today, he has allowed 10 runs across his last two starts and maybe Brent Rooker will break out of his slump by facing a lefty.
